How do you attach your greenhouse end all to the greenhouse frame? Building end walls for your greenhouse may seem daunting, as greenhouses are known for their iconic arched roof, but there are several pieces of hardware to choose from that simplify the installation process.

The arched design of a greenhouse is common because it allows for more sunlight to reach and be dispersed to the plants throughout the day. So, while the arch makes the installation of end walls a bit challenging, know that it is not for nothing. So, let's look at some of the end wall-specific brackets that allow you to attach your end walls to the arched frame of your greenhouse.

How to Attach Greenhouse End Walls to the Frame

As mentioned, this task may be a bit of a challenge. Not so much in the assembly itself but in determining what materials you will need, how much or how many of said materials, and the measuring involved. With your greenhouse end walls assembled, consider how to attach the wall to the arched frame. There are several options: the twist end connector or a variation of the end wall framing bracket. Both require the use of brace bands, carriage bolts, and self-tapping screws.

Greenhouse End Wall Connectors & Brackets

Greenhouse End Wall Framing Brackets for Metal Beams

Greenhouse end wall framing brackets for metal beams come in two sizes: 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" and 2" x 2". Both are made of hot-dipped galvanized steel.

For vertical end wall support, place one bracket on the top end of the metal beam, securing it with self-tapping screws. Then, place a brace band around the arched frame and sandwich the bracket between the ends of the brace band. Secure the bracket and brace band together with a carriage bolt. Repeat as needed.

Then, place the brace band around both sides of the greenhouse frame. Secure the brackets and brace bands on either end together with carriage bolts. Then, double-check that the beam is level.

Greenhouse End Wall Framing Brackets for Wood Beams

Jiggly Greenhouse has a 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" end wall bracket adapter for 2x4 nominal wood beams if you create your greenhouse end wall using wood. This end wall bracket is also made of hot-dipped galvanized steel.

For vertical end wall support, place one bracket on the top end of the wood beam, securing it with self-tapping screws. Then, place a brace band around the arched frame and sandwich the bracket between the ends of the brace band. Secure the bracket and brace band together with a carriage bolt. Repeat as needed.

Greenhouse Universal Twist End Wall Connector

The twist end wall connector is An alternate option to greenhouse end wall brackets. The twist end wall connector is used with a brace band, self-tapping screws, and a carriage bolt. All these parts are made of steel for a strong connection.

For vertical and horizontal support posts, metal or wood, you will want to lay out the assembly before making any connections to ensure everything will be oriented correctly. Then, secure the twisted end wall connector to the beam with self-tapping screws. Place the brace band around the greenhouse frame and secure the brace band to the bracket with a carriage bolt. *For vertical supports, place the twisted end wall connector along just one end of the beam. Place one twist end connector on either end of the beam for horizontal support beams.

Greenhouse End Wall Corner Bracket 90-Degree Connector

The 90-degree corner bracket can also be used to secure the end wall of a greenhouse. This bracket can be used for metal or wood beams, but it is recommended to use only horizontal beams along the greenhouse frame's flat edge. Secure one side of the bracket to the greenhouse frame and the other to your beam. You can use self-tapping screws or carriage bolts.
